The Black Cat-(202)667-7960. 1831 14th Street NW. This is THE club in DC for ska shows. They put on local greats like the Skunks and the Checkered Cabs a few times a month, as well as some fabulous touring ska and punk bands. The place is pretty huge for a club. It has nice pool tables, a good bar and a huge dancefloor. Just a great, reasonable club with a nice atmosphere and it books great shows too.-c639772@showme.missouri.edu
Plato's Diner- on Rhode Island (Route 1) right outside of College Park, Maryland. It's a nice, cheap little diner with good 90's diner atmosphere. It's a good place to get something to eat after a show.-c639772@showme.missouri.edu
Asylum in Exile- it's right aroud the corner (literally) from the Black Cat near 14th and U streets, I believe. It's a tiny little club on the second floor of the building, but it has a fun atmosphere and welcomes the skinhead/rude boy/punk crowds to the shows it puts on. Fairly DIY, but it has a bar.-c639772@showme.missouri.edu
The Air & Space Museum- Okay, this IS DC. This is by far the most interesting museum that the Smithsonian runs, and I've loved this museum since I was about 5 years old when I went for the first time. There's always fabulous movies and exhibits. Very sci-fi.-c639772@showme.missouri.edu
The Mall in front of the Museum of Natural History. During the late spring to early autumn months, the hare krishnas are always out performing and panhandling here. You can either make friends and hang out for awhile and shoot the shit with them or you can just watch and make fun of them...Either way, it's amusing to say the least.-c639772@showme.missouri.edu
